Week of Prayer for Our Persecuted Family

Submitted by Editor-in-Chief on October 21, 2015 – 4:57 pmNo Comment

By Ian Ross

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. Ephesians 6:18

The past few years have been wrought with heartbreaking stories telling of the Church’s persecution across the world. Coptic Christians in Egypt, Bible smugglers in the forests of South America, believers in Nigeria and our family in Israel-Palestine identify a small portion of the multitude suffering as disciples of Christ around the world today. Following our Conference on Mission, I would like to encourage Grace College to join me in praying and fasting for our persecuted brothers and sisters, asking God to work in their situations and bring healing to the nations. Starting on Sunday, October 25, there will be a number of prayer rallies leading up to a night of fellowship on Sunday November 1. That night, we will finish the week with prayer starting at 7 p.m. and enjoy a meal together as family in Christ at 10 p.m. We will post updates through social media and on our website chapelgrace.org throughout the week. I pray God uses this time to bless His Bride, further His kingdom and fill us with a love for prayer!
