Men’s and Women’s Track and Field: 2017 has proved to be a big year for the Grace College Men’s and Women’s Track and Field team. The date that is weighing on everyone’s mind is April 29. This is the day Grace College will make history. The Lancers are hosting their first ever track and field meet at the all new Key Track and Field Complex in the Miller Athletic Complex. The new facility was finished in the fall of 2016.

The Lancers have been led by the seniors on the team. Those leading the team are head coach Jeff Raymond and seniors Joshua Dudeck, Kejaun Leek, Nigel Ngwenya, Hannah Treadway, Hunter Reed, Macallister Seitz and Brandon Smith. The men’s and women’s teams have travelled all over the country, getting prepared for their home opener.

The teams travelled to Defiance, Ohio for the Defiance Invitational; the men finished 2nd out of 11 teams and the women finished 4th out of nine teams. The teams then saw some competition in conference play as they participated in the Crossroads League Invitational. The women finished 5th, and the men could not crack the top three as they finished 4th.

Softball: The Lady Lancers look to Clarissa Knight for senior leadership. Grace took on number 2 Saint Xavier over spring break and came away with a big win, 6-0. Not only did the Lady Lancers defeat the second best team in the nation, but they headed back to Indiana with wins over Cornerstone, Cardinal Stritch, West Virginia Tech and Fisher. Grace is on track for a fantastic season! Make sure you come out and support the Lady Lancers. Grace currently is 11-9 in conference play and is 18-17 overall.
